Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us. Specifications change, listings get edited quietly, and a product can become a different unit under the same name. If something here is wrong, we would rather know.
The more specific you can be, the faster we can act on it. For a correction, the page it is on and the claim you think is wrong are the two things we need. A link to the current listing is ideal, because listings are edited quietly and often.
This is what we most want to hear about. If a product on this site has changed, been discontinued, or now behaves differently from what we describe, tell us and we will check it against the source and update the page.
We are particularly interested in three things. A product whose specification has changed under the same model name. A unit that now ships in a different market version than it used to, which we have already documented on Leica and Hilti products. And any case where our description of a tool no longer matches what arrives in the box.
Everything on this site is built from what owners report, so first hand experience is genuinely valuable to us. If you have used a laser measure we cover and your experience contradicts what we have written, that is worth sending.
It is also worth sending if it confirms something. A failure we have described from two owner reports is a stronger claim with a third, and we will say so on the page.
If there is a laser measure we have missed, tell us what it is and where it is sold. Our rule is that a product needs a rating of at least 3.5 and enough reviews for the average to mean something, because our whole method depends on there being owner reports to read. The full criteria are here.
We do not accept payment for placement, sponsored posts, link insertions or paid reviews, and we do not remove criticism on request. We have not accepted product samples and do not currently plan to.
If you represent a manufacturer and believe we have a fact wrong, that is a correction and we will treat it exactly like any other. Send the evidence and we will check it.
If you are writing about advertising, guest posts or link placement, the answer is no, and we would rather not spend your time or ours on it.
We are not able to give individual buying advice for specific projects, diagnose a faulty unit, or intervene with a manufacturer's warranty department. The guides on this site are the advice we have, and they are free.
For a faulty tool, the manufacturer or the retailer you bought from will be far more use than we can be.
We are a small team and we read everything. Corrections get looked at first, everything else when there is time. If your message needs a reply and does not get one quickly, it is not personal.
Working out the right laser measure for the job in front of you is what our front page is for.
