One owner measured this against a Bosch and found it inside 2 mm up close, and more than 25 mm out past sixteen feet. That is an inch of error at a distance most rooms contain. The error is not constant, it grows, and that is the failure you cannot calibrate away.

At 4.2 it is the weakest rating of the Laselion units we cover, and the most methodical owner report describes accuracy that degrades sharply with distance. Inside a small room it works. Beyond that the evidence is against it.

One owner ran a proper comparison, identified the manufacturer, and reported numbers rather than impressions.
They confirm the unit is the LT100 by Laselion, also trading as BST US Direct, and made in China. They found close in accuracy inside 2 mm, which is entirely respectable and matches the claim. Then, past about sixteen feet, some measurements were over 25 mm off.
Twenty five millimetres is a full inch. At sixteen feet. In a category where the claim is a sixteenth of an inch.
They also compared it directly with their Bosch on drywall measurement indoors and found it did well, and found it did not do well outdoors in bright sun past sixteen feet, though it managed in shade, and even then not as accurately as claimed.
We recommend a Bosch on this site where an owner found three units all reading about a tenth of an inch out, because that error was the same at every distance. A constant offset is something you measure once and allow for permanently. An error of 2 mm at close range and 25 mm at sixteen feet is not an offset, it is a scaling problem, and there is no single correction that fixes it. Every measurement would need its own verification, which defeats the purpose of owning the tool. It is the same reason we do not recommend the LM100.
A second owner was blunt: they said the abilities claimed are untrue, that it cannot measure 100 m, and that they could only get it to work to about 50 feet with brand new batteries straight out of the box.
Fifty feet against 328 ft claimed. Our general finding across budget units is that rated range assumes an indoor matte target in low light and that daylight roughly halves it, but this is a wider gap than that explains.
A third owner simply reported that it is not very accurate and that there is no way to adjust it, adding that it is fine if you only want an approximate measurement. That is a fair summary of where this tool sits.
Laselion sells at least two units under the LT naming, this one and the LT70 at 229 ft, which we reviewed more favourably. The LT70's most useful review is a three way comparison where it matched a Bosch and a no name unit indoors over short distances, and all three struggled outdoors. That is consistent with what we see here: close and indoors is where these work.
Separately, this listing's specification text is near identical in structure and wording to the LM100, another 328 ft unit we do not recommend, down to the same two bubble levels, the same mute setting and the same accuracy claim. We cannot confirm they come from the same factory and we are not going to assert it. We can say that we have now examined three budget 328 ft units with very similar listings and found documented accuracy problems on all three.
The detailed reviewer noted the included manual is printed in micro text and is hard to read. That is a small thing that becomes a large thing when the tool has a Pythagoras mode, a unit selector and a memory function all hiding behind a few buttons.
Someone who wants a cheap tool for approximate indoor measurements under about sixteen feet and knows that is what they are getting. At close range the accuracy reports are genuinely fine.
Anyone measuring past sixteen feet, which includes most rooms measured wall to wall. Anyone measuring outdoors. And anyone who needs the number to be right rather than roughly right.
At the same price. The RockSeed two pack carries 22,354 ratings, and owners have checked it against tapes at both close and long range rather than only close.
If you want a Laselion. The LT70 has a better rating and an owner comparison against a Bosch that it survived, at least indoors.
If you want accuracy that holds at distance. That is where you have to spend. The Bosch GLM165-22 was checked by one owner against two tape measures with no variance found, and it is the cheapest Bosch that reaches 165 ft.
If you genuinely need 328 ft. No budget unit delivers that outdoors. Our long range guide ranks on aiming rather than on the number, because the dot vanishes long before the sensor gives up.
If you already own one, check it at three distances rather than one. A tool that passes at five feet can still be an inch out at sixteen, which is exactly what happened here.
